"core" Notes functions and the types of applications
that Notes can accommodate as the "core" Notes
applications.
Those features can include
shared, document-oriented databases, messaging,
strong security features, distributed data
kept in-sync through replication, support
for mobiles, disconnected Notes users and
access to non-Notes data. The applications
can include information repositories, discussion
forums, project tracking applications, and
business process or "workflow" applications
